Observation on Teacher


a.       Planning for teaching


      After I observed classes 9 and 7, I had a plan for how the method I would teach them. I will make a game at the beginning of the lesson, because in class 9-1,9-2,9- learning will start at noon. The game that I created is called 'delivered messages' where the game also functions to review previous material and make the students motivated. And the method I use in class 9 is the jigsaw method. So, they not feel bored in class.
      While for grade 7 I taught material about Nationalism in Indonesia. So I took the initiative to make teaching materials by using pop up media for assessment at the end of the lesson. I used the kahoot media to give a few questions. I use kahoot.it because I think the application is good for students, it can make the students happy for learning.

b.      Preparing lessons and materials
      1. Learn about the material that will be delivered to students.
      2. Make a lesson plan.
      3. Look for appropriate teaching materials and find the right method.
      4. Making learning media (power points and the others related to materials and lessons).

c.       Teaching in class
    The situation teaching in class, when i teach ‘Nationalism in Indonesia’ for class 7-2
      1. The class begins with reading a prayer and reading one of the verses from the Bible.
      2. Teacher will check attendance in class one by one.
      3. The students will be passed a task (if any).
      4. Teacher will reviewing the materials before.
      5. Teacher will start explaining the material about ‘Colonialism and imperialism’
      6. Teacher will gives an example of ‘Colonialism and Imperialism’ using the image displayed.
      7. Teacher will gives a piece of story related to the material.
      8. Teacher will ask some students for generalization and fixing materials.

d.      Measurement and evaluation

            The success of learning is measured when they succeed in answering questions correctly and quickly besides also being measured from the questions they give to the teacher is one of the successes that they understand and are interested in the topic of learning.
